COUNSELLING

Are you feeling sad, anxious, lost, confused, frustrated or angry a lot?

Do you need help with motivation, communication or relationships?

Have you lost someone, something important, or experienced a

significant change in your life?

If you have, then the chances are that your stress levels have increased

and your happiness or sense of calm, has decreased.

  • A counsellor can help you define your goals and collaborate with you to design a plan to achieve them. We can explore ways to find your calm and increase levels of happiness.

  • We can discover ways to help you cope, build resilience, and flourish in life. If you are feeling grief, anxiety, socially awkward, unhappy, or need motivation, counselling is a good option.

  • You might prefer an approach that focuses on altering your thinking patterns, becoming aware of how they affect your feelings and actions. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy [CBT] might be a good option.

  • Maybe you need to find a way to accept what you are thinking and feeling so Acceptance and Commitment Therapy [ACT] therapy might be for you.

  • Grief and loss can affect us in many different ways and for many different reasons. Divorce, the loss of a loved one, a diagnosis of a life threatening or life changing illness, moving house or towns, and the loss of a job are some examples of events that might contribute to grief. Sometimes telling your story is part of the healing process.

  • We react differently to situations and finding our own understanding of what has happened can help us cope.
